Revival Files: Frock or dress?

Total Cost = 7$

Is it so lame of me that for seven dollars I almost put this dress/ frock back because I thought it was too expensive (can someone explain to me the difference between a frock and a dress, because I'm completely baffled.) I don't think it gets much cheaper than that. I have to say that this might be one of my favorites. I've been wearing it non stop. At least as non stop as Sir Matt will allow, he says that swimming and sleeping in it just won't do. I'm getting a petition signed because I think that's just cruel. So far this is what I have.

"Sarah McCammon would like to petition one Sir Matt McCammon for the right to wear her pink frock of glory at all times and in all things and in all places. Thus meaning that one Sir Matt cannot prevent her from wearing it for consecutive days, in large bodies of water, also. she could wear it with a boot or she could wear it down a chute, she could wear it here or there, Sarah can wear it anywhere!"

What do you think? Wanna sign my petition?!

  3. I love it!! I know what you mean about the price, though. Most thrift store dresses are only a few bucks so when one is marked $5 or more, I do re-think it! Frock is just another word for dress! It was used in the middle ages to describe other clothes but now it's mostly for girls or womens dresses

  6. Yay! I'd missed the dress (frock?!) makeovers. Yes, I'll sign your petition. Sarah can wear it on a boat, Sarah can wear it in a moat. Sarah can wear it in the pool, Sarah can wear it when she goes to school. Sarah can also be added to my blogroll cuz she is the funniest and so talented. :D

  21. It's funny you say you wear this all the time because I was just gonna ask you if you ever get a chance to rewear your dresses cuz you're such a crafty-McCrafterson, it seems like you always have a new one. Not to say you have too many. You could never have too many. But now you've gone and answered my question before I asked!

  26. This is absolutely beautiful. I love your sense of style. You have officially changed the way I will thrift from now on. I've already purchased skirts and dresses that I want to alter the hems on but fom now on I am going to be even more open minded. You have made me want to become acquainted with the sewing machine even more than I already wanted to. Thank you so much for being you and having such an inspiring and classy sense of style. It's difficult for me to find style icons for so many women nowadays think its sexy to have everything hanging out whilst I think the way you dress is so much more alluring. Again, thank you.
