Shoes: Forever Young (Is what I want to be.)
I was talking on the phone with my sister the other day and we were talking about how I wear old people clothes but they don't look too bad because I'm young. Ok ok I'm willing to admit to that. But I reached the ultimate low...this is literally my Grandma's dress. I really am that much of an old soul. Me and my Grandma were non other than sewing together when she whipped out this beauty and handed it over to her youngest granny like granddaughter. And I'm proud to be the owner!
Also in further uneventful news I scored this precious Banana Republic purse at the thrift store last week. I'm in purse love.
It rained,I found a cool purse and there's going to be a DIY tommorrow.... so I did a jig. Can you blame me?
That most definitely does NOT look like a Grandma dress! I love how you styled it with the black underneath, the belt, the shoes...and what a great purse find! I never score stuff like that at thrift stores. Maybe I should look harder.
ReplyDeleteThat bright red is a fantastic color on you, by the way!
I like your grandma's dress! I've thought the same thing about wearing "old people clothes" - it doesn't look bad when we're young - so apparently I can't keep this style up forever. What am I going to wear when I'm old? Young people clothes? Then I'll probably look like a granny hooker or something.
ReplyDeleteWow that was your grandmas? I would totally wear that :P you dressed it up well! Great score on the purse and I'm excited for your DIY...I'm so not talented that way.

Okay, you're incredibly adorable. And I love your dress! I have a few of my grandma's dresses (and, not going to lie, a few of my GREAT-grandmothers as well) stored away because they don't quite fit. If they did I would absolutely be wearing them as well. God bless the old souls!

ReplyDeleteI think that is so sweet that you are wearing your grandmother's dress. It looks lovely on you. I have a pair of my grandmother's ankle booties and they are my favorite thing to wear in the colder months. Your blog is adorable by the way - I will be following you:-). Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier & leaving such kind comments.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO with you on that philosophy -- I just used the phrase "Grandma-fabulous" in an outfit post to describe some shorts of mine and that dress definitely fits that bill! Though, honestly, I'm pretty sure it's cute enough that you could rock it at any age.

Who cares is it's your grandma's??? It's gorgeous! But I may be biased since I also wear grandma clothes... ;-)
